The real story here is that I am finally making decisions, writing functional requirements and killing darlings. There are many snare sounds that I have decided that the machine should not be able to play side stick, rimshot, brushes etc. Narrowing down the functionality and sticking to a short list is progress IMHO :) Next up: doing the same for all the instruments, defining what the output of the machine should be.
